In 1998, "Tram transport", "Trolley transport" and "Transenergo" has merged in a Joint Stock Company.

In the Sofia Public Electrical Transport Company JSC is included three tram depots - "Banishora", "Krasna Poliana", "Iskar" and two trolley depots - "Iskar" and "Nadejda", as well as the divisions "Tramkar" and "Transenergo and Railsroad".
